cali1234
Need some advice here. Is attending a for profit school a bad idea/extremely risky? I have an interview coming up with south university and was wondering if there is anyone who has attended here or other for profit schools can share their experience? PAtoMD
South university is a non profit. They were for profit previously. south college is for profit. Both entities are separate. For profit institutes follow the same accreditation process as every other school. South university main campus in Savannah’s program is one the most established PA schools in the south east with I believe 20+ classes of PAs graduated.

ProSpectre
I interviewed at South University's Savannah campus. It seemed like a quality program overall, is well established, and it's my understanding that graduates of the program are respected in the surrounding community. I ended up attending a different program that better fit my interests, but wouldn't have hesitated to attend South. ARC-PA has rigorous standards for both initial and on-going accreditation, so there aren't really any "scam" PA programs.
cali1234
Thank you for letting me know! This is very reassuring. When you interviewed there was it also a group interview/how was it? Any tips?
