GetMeOuttaThisMess
http://www.tmb.state.tx.us/dl/EA8A2EF2-CDC9-1A98-F783-A07EBA6FECA4 See pages one and two for new licensing requirements regarding human trafficking and required medication training. This was all news to me yesterday while I was looking at the latest TMB bulletin to see who had made the "naughty list". I haven't seen any information from any other entity regarding same. This won't be impacting me since I just renewed my license for essentially two months but it'll impact those of you who will still be fighting the good fight. Cideous
LOL look at the top of page 4. ALL pa's will be required to undergo fingerprinting and a background check before their next license registration. This will start in early 2020 even if, like me, you have been practicing in the state for 20+ years LOL.
PickleRick
TMB should already have access to my fingerprints through DPS, since I have a license to carry a peashooter.

GetMeOuttaThisMess
It has been my experience that their response would be "No way, Jose". Case in point, when I went back in 2014 and re-certified as an EMT (for possible teaching position) prior to being instructor certified, the state of Texas required another set of prints though they have my prints on file for a prior state employment application, my CHL, and heaven knows what else. Administrator rev ronin Posted August 24, 2019 Administrator Share Posted August 24, 2019 No, they will want your prints again--after all, how else will they know you're the same person?
sas5814
sooooooo....why aren't they fingerprinting the physicians? It seems stupid, wasteful, expensive and pointless. But if you are going to do it why not do it across the board?
