Hi everyone! Thought I'd start off the thread for this cycle. It looks like the Atlanta campus has been approved by the ARC-PA as an extension of South College's Knoxville campus, according to their own website, linked below. Has anyone been able to confirm this?

Yes they have! And they were given the continued accreditation status under the Knoxville south college campus as a distance program. I am in their first class in Atlanta. So far I’ve been very happy with them. They really seem to have it together.

Hi guys! I have an interview coming up this Friday too. Hope to meet some of you there. I have a coworker who is actually about to start in their next class. A couple of tips she gave me for the interview:

-Mingle during the breakfast/ meet and greet. She said they are watching everything you do so even if it doesn't seem formal so make sure you're presentable and personable with the staff and potential future classmates. Put your phone away and don't even look at it for the whole day!

- The group interview is a panel style interview with fairly standard questions. What is your strength, weakness, etc.

-There is a medical terminology quiz at the interview. She said not to stress though! It does not weigh in on your decision, but I think is just to gauge where you are.

-They tell you that day if you made it into the program or not, but they take you individually and then escort you out right after regardless of the decision so you can deal with any emotions good or bad on your own.

This is my first interview so I'm pretty nervous. I'm not sure if any of this is going to change at all this year, but hopefully this helps a little and we're all in this together!

Anyone have any insight into the 6 semester hours of English prereq requirement? I only took one English class in college for a total of 3 semester hours. This is the first PA program I have come across to even require an English course as a pre-req. Is the 6 semester hours a hard, "set in stone" requirement?

Yes it is.  I was accepted into the program and have to take another english class as a condition to acceptance.

Hi everyone, I received an interview for 10/11. For anyone who has interviewed previously how did it go? Were there any surprises or any other information you would like to share would be greatly appreciated!

I posted something a little earlier on this page about the interview and they followed pretty much everything I said! Just a couple of things I would add:

-Timeline: about 8- 2ish (I was in one of the earlier individual interview though so it might have lasted longer than that for some people). For anyone flying in, they will hold your luggage for you and I don't think anyone in my group had any issues with the interview running over/needing to catch a flight etc.

-I'm not sure how they determine if you are accepted or not, but when I went in for my individual interview (after lunch, group interviews in the morning), it seemed like they already had a decision made. They asked me maybe a couple of questions, but nothing really serious and then gave me my acceptance packet. So I guess try to really shine in your group interview??

This next part is more for after the interview, but if you are accepted, you have 10 days to put down a $1500 deposit to save your seat.

Hope that helps! Good luck 🙂
