NoahTacos Posted July 25, 2019 Share Posted July 25, 2019 21 year old male biology major at a large midwestern university. cGPA- 3.9 sGPA- 3.8 GRE- 317 and a 4.0 PCE- 515 hours as an EMT basic and 50 hours as a phlebotomist at an internship(not sure if I should include this or not). I’m a certified EMT and phlebotomist. Shadowing- shadowed a few PAs for about 40 hours Volunteering- I’ve volunteered at a free healthcare clinic working in the lab, 40 hours. I’ve also volunteer at a food bank, 50 hours. Letters of rec from my anatomy professor, a PA, and a fellow EMT. I’m also the treasurer of my schools pre-PA club. I’m also the treasurer of my schools pre-PA club. * Grades and GRE are fine. * PCE is minimally adequate, but the more the better. * Shadowing is likely fine. * Volunteering is likely fine * WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU WANT A FELLOW EMT WRITING AN LOR FOR YOU? hy0914 Posted August 29, 2019 Share Posted August 29, 2019 Your high GPA will benefit you, but I will say that your PCE hours are low. Most of the people I met at my interviews had about 2 years of experience (and some with much more). I would recommend including anything you can in those hours (phlebotomy).
