norcalpa
I'm applying to jobs in the Bay Area (SF/Oakland/Palo Alto) and am wondering what the hourly pay is for PAs working in the ED. Hoping to get an idea what a good range should be for the area due to the cost of living. Thanks!

wable
Should also mention I turned down to ED offers, one for $87 p/hr & one for $95 p/hr, both w/o bennies.
Marinejiujitsu
Good luck. They are cutting pay and shifts like crazy given volume. My group is cutting my pay to zero and are going to pay is with stimulus they get. It was that or the docs take a 25% pay cut. Other groups cut 31 PA shifts from a hospital and cut the docs pay by $65 an hour. I have 10 years experience and its hard for me to get a new job now in Norcal. I'm now looking out of state and ICU gigs.Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
wable
Yea, being in an RVU system right now sucks. I feel for you. I’m really grateful to be with Kaiser right now. They are primarily a capitated system; they get paid by their “members” whether or not they come in for medical care. So, there have been no shift or pay cuts even tho I’m now averaging 2-3 pts per shift. In fact, I just got a pay raise. I’m very grateful. Hang in there. It’ll get back to normal volume soon. Look into video visits. I have a feeling that is going to be the wave of the future after all of this. Kaiser shifted their care over to video visits, and I’ve been doing them for about a month now. It’s not that bad. good luck to you! -will
