koricometh1
Who's been accepted to PA programs where the majority of pre req courses were taken online?
Chewbacca12
I would not say that the majority of my pre-reqs are online, but I did take a couple courses online and was accepted. Usually the best practice is to contact the school directly and ask them if a course will meet their requirements. The only case where I found an online class may not be applicable is when an in-person lab was required for something such as chemistry. fishbum
I took all of my prerequisites online with the exception of o. chem, applied to one school and got in.
PACrankset
Also took almost everything online while working a full tome and part time EMT job. Got multiple interviews and multiple acceptances.
QuarterLifeCrisis34
I've also been wondering the same thing- I'd like to keep my schedule as open as possible and take classes like psych and stats online so that I'm able to work as much as possible. I know to take all lab courses in person but does anyone feel like taking some pre-recs online was something that was looked down upon during the application process? I took all my psych classes on line while I attended NSU full time for undergrad. They don't seem to care for psych or med term. They never once brought it up during my interviews back in 2016. You're right to steer clear of online lab classes (o chem, biochem, genetics, anatomy). I feel like those courses online is just a waste of time.
