CSU Monterrey Bay 2019-2020

Recommended Posts

I got an interview last Monday 8/19. Submitted 6/8.
Does anyone have any information on their interview process? i.e. MMI, etc?

On the email, it gives you a schedule of what to expect on interview day.

Good luck to those interviewing this cycle. Current PA student from CSUMB and have an extra room one can stay at if anyone is still looking.

For those who received interview invites when did you submit your application?

Hello! I submitted my application on 6/28 and was emailed on 8/12 for an interview invitation on 9/6. Good luck to everyone interviewing!

Has everyone filled out the information for financial aid for this school? If we haven’t does it mean we won’t get accepted?

Does anyone know what the interview format is? Panel, one-on-one, two-on-one? The interview invite email does not have much information!

Thanks! Good luck everyone!

Yes, filling out fafsa as soon as possible would be beneficial for students who intend on taking out loans for the program. For the January start it is right around the corner so getting that done now would be better rather than rushing to get your physicals/titters/ moving (for those out of the area) along with securing your loans. I don’t think it affects their admission choice but it can affect your admission if you don’t have the finances ready.

Anybody scheduled for the interview on the week of the 15th?

For those who interviewed, what was it that you liked? disliked? about the school/program, etc?

They’ve interviewed already about 60 candidates. I think they said 120-130 invites were sent out. They don’t utilize rolling admission, and they will come out with admission decisions in 2-3 weeks (somewhere in September-October).

If you haven’t received an invite yet don’t be discouraged, you could still get an invite if someone cancels (for January 2020 start). A lot of us, myself included, are re-applicants. You learn more about yourself and how to strengthen your application following each cycle.

Don’t give up on your first or second tries. And most importantly don’t give up your dreams of becoming a kickass PA!

thats very encouraging. thank you

You may want to call them if it’s been 3 weeks from your interview date inquiring about your status!

Asking on behalf of a friend: For those of you that received a position on the alternate list, do you also have included on there "upper portion"?

Thanks!

Got an email today that I was placed on the waitlist! My email stated that "my position is not at the top of the list". I have been accepted to two other schools so I'll probably reject the waitlist but I hope someone else gets on!
