I got an interview invite for August 10th as well! How long did it take after accepting your interview invite for them to email you with additional information? I'll be coming from Iowa 🙂

The whole interview was unusual but also fun. The questions included the normal pa school stuff like why and what you... just like any other program then it went beyond with other stuff you really can’t prepare for. Just be rested and let your personality shine through

Just through my online searching haha I've been wanting to go somewhere west though! I didn't see the invite until this morning so I responded earlier today. I still haven't heard back from them though. The only reason it makes me nervous is because they said something about the interview being on a 'first come first serve basis' in the email. Has anyone who got an invite been told the interview was full by the time you responded? I booked my flight already and only have 24 hours to cancel, so I will probably call tonight if I don't hear back from them.

Yeah, I thought that was stupid when I saw that. Honestly its a very new and small program so I wonder how many rounds of interviews they're gonna do. And I wonder if that many people applied lol. So far I haven't heard of anyone who has been told the interview was full but I would either get flight insurance for sure or cancel within 24 hours.

@mg392132 Did you 'reply' to the interview invite email with your intention to attend, or did you send a separate email to the email address they provided? I just noticed they are two different email accounts and am wondering if I should just reply to the interview invite email. Thank you!!

It is a state holiday today so I imagine they aren’t in the office.

I was verified by CASPA on May 21 and then my app to UVU was verified and confirmed on June 30. I forgot about the supplemental and they had to remind me about it, so I didn’t get it in as early as I wanted but I think they’ve only had one round of interviews

Can you guys share how and when you received your invitation and maybe when you were verified? I was verified on the 3rd of July and I haven’t heard anything, I’m still hopeful though. I took my CASPer exam in May

      Hi, everyone!
What are your thoughts on applying to programs with a ARC-PA probationary accreditation status (i.e., "Accreditation-Probation")?
I'm a first-time applicant, and a couple schools that I have my eye on currently have probationary statuses (Johnson & Wales University; Monmouth University). I was wondering if it's worth applying to said schools, especially to ones that have had a probationary status for more than two years.
Although these schools are still considered accredited, is it safe to apply to & then attend these schools? Do these schools prepare students to become competent & trustworthy healthcare professionals? Are these schools worth the debt? My concern is enrolling in a school with probationary accreditation and graduating as a sub par PA-C, but those are just my uncertain sentiments at the moment.
Moreover, I've read that applying to these schools may be advantageous to some who aren't considered "strong applicants" (e.g., average grades/GRE). On the other hand, I've seen "strong applicants" display their admiration & loyalty to these schools here on PA Forum. I'm confused! Let's open up the discussion!

I worked as a PRN rehab technician for about 3 months (roughly 20 hours a week) before I became Full-Time (40 hours a week).  How do I record this change in hours? Do I make two separate entries or average the hours per week?  My hours for PRN also varied each week, with weeks working up to 30 hours and sometimes only 15 hours. Do I need to record this somehow? I also do not understand how PA schools validate that the numbers of hours stated are honest. Is there some sort of validation document needed from each employer from past jobs.  Any advice is appreciated, thank you!

I thought I’d start this since I didn’t see any posts about this application cycle yet. Has anyone heard back besides the normal “we received your application” email?

I was checking my verified application & I have “Punjabi” listed under “native language”.  On CASPA my response to “first language” was “Punjabi”.   To clarify, I am fluent in English. (I’ve been speaking English since I was 5!! I answered to "first language" quite literally.) Will I run into any problem with PA programs? Would they assume otherwise?   --I was born in California and went to schools K-12 in Cali and then Uni of Cali, Santa Cruz for undergrad. Has anyone else experienced this?
**The application is locked & I am unable to change it to English**

Hi everyone.  Thought I'd start the discussion for the 2019-2020 application cycle.  Good luck!
