I'm currently studying for the GRE which im taking in 2.5 weeks. I've been using magoosh book and ETS website but still feel unprepared. My goal is to make over 310 or higher to hopefully offset my average GPA.

For those who have taken it, what are some of your tips? Especially for the verbal section and memorizing definitions?

Thank you!

Practice tests, practice tests and PRACTICE TESTS. I cannot stress that enough. Practice tests helped me immensely when I was studying for the GRE, I also used magoosh to study.

Any practice test? Are there specific companies/websites advised? And how long did it take to study, for those who have already taken it?

Might be too late to do this but when I was studying I also read books. It really helps me in the verbal sections, which I suck at. Reading just jump starts my mind and I did that for about one to two months prior to taking my test

I improved my reading score by 5 points just studying the vocab flashcards from Magoosh. Some people recommend not trying to learn as many new words as possible, but that's the only thing that worked for me. I also had a Magoosh premium subscription and never really watched or study any of the reading videos and was still able to get 5 points higher.

Magoosh!!!!!

Also use the free practice tests you get when you schedule the test. Simulate test conditions by wearing earplugs and reserving time so none is bothering you.
