I was notified of my acceptance on 8/9 and the due date for my deposit was listed as 9/8, so 30 days. However, I have declined my offer due to being accepted to another program. Hopefully this op

I got invited to interview September 13th! Any recommendations on how to prepare for the group style interview process?

Hey guys!  I loved the group interview format! I recommend that you look up current events in the PA world and how the field is changing. The interviewers are given your personal statement but not your grades, so they had some notes on direct questions based on things you wrote, so make sure  you know your stuff about you well! Otherwise, just relax, it is very conversational, be social with the other people in the interview, and keep your answers short and concise!  Good Luck!

I am interviewing 9/16. For those who have been accepted, would you mind posting your stats? Also, for those who have interviewed and heard back (negative or positive), did you feel like you had a successful interview or were you caught off guard? Thanks so much! Good luck to everyone!

I interviewed in August and was waitlisted for acceptance. I definitely enjoyed the structure of their interview day. You get the interviews out of the way in the morning, which helps be more relaxed during the tour, lunch, etc. The only thing I didn't really like about the group interview format is that I did not have anything in common with the other applicants, making it harder to be conversational with them while answering questions. This has nothing to do with how amazing the program is, I just personally struggled to interact with the other applicants, which I believe is encouraged in this type of interview. Just my insight, but something to think about!

Hi! How long did you wait to find out you were waitlisted?

Interviewed 9/13 and think I am an alternate. My portal changed in my "applicant checklist" to show "required prerequisites." Apparently from past years this indicates that you are an alternate. Anyone else who interviewed 9/12, 9/13, or 9/17 see any changes to their portals?

Yes I interviewed 9/16 and show a checklist under “accepted checklist”. Not sure about the alternate thing though!

Interviewed 8/1. Accepted 8/8. I still haven't received an email/phone call but when I check the "accepted student checklist" on their portal, I saw the checklist including a matriculation agreement. I interviewed with them last year and was wait-listed. There was never any change to my portal and I never received a phone call letting me know I was wait listed. I had to call the admissions office to confirm. Hope that helps!

You mentioned this was your second cycle of applying, did you do anything different on your application this cycle? Did you ever get an opportunity for an interview last cycle with being on the waitlist? I received an email explaining that I hold enough merit for their program and will be waitlisted for an interview so I just keep hoping for the best.

Hi everyone,

For those of you on the interview waitlist, I emailed MWU about how many people were on the waitlist and this is the response I got:

”Hello,

Thank you for your email and interest in our PA program. At this time there are over 150 applicants on the waitlist for interview. It is difficult to predict if applicants will be pulled from the waitlist since every cycle is different.”

Not sure how to feel about this considering I was under the impression the interview waitlist would be a “positive” result

Did they happen to mention where you stand on the waitlist for an interview? If you don't mind me asking when did you submit your application?

I was accepted on the 18th. I interviewed on the 16th. I got a phone call and email during that Wednesday, the 18th.

Someone asked about those of us who were accepted to share our stats. So here goes if it is help to you:

GRE: 313 with 5/6 on writing

3.88 overall GPA

3.96 science GPA

1700 hours as a pharmacy technician

2200 hours as a registered nurse in the hospital setting

no shadowing or volunteer hours so I am pretty grateful I got in. I didn't shadow as I work with physician assistants every day on my job, and I had hoped that would be enough for me. No volunteer hours. I spent all my undergrad and after undergrad working so when I considered doing volunteer stuff I was way late in the game and it was time to do applications.
