Failed courses

Recommended Posts

Hey! So I failed two classes in the past (Bio 1 and Organic Chem 1) but I retook them and got Bs in both. I also graduated with honors. On CASPA it separates each GPA so under Organic Chemistry my GPA is a 1.86. However, I earned  a B in the class after retaking it and my overall science GPA is a 3.13, which meets the requirements for most schools. Does anyone know if schools look at each GPA separately or just the Overall Science and Overall Cumulative grades?

The overall is what you need before your grades can be scrutinized even further. If you meet the overall requirement, then that’s good. At that point, it’ll be up to schools to see if individual grades make or break you. Don’t stress about it. You made the minimum. Move on to more important things within your control.
