Hi just wondering if those who received a interview or were accepted would mind sharing your stats? I just received a email saying I am being considered a strong applicant for a interview so am interested in what the program is looking for in stats! Thank so much!

At my interview the Program Director, Jay, gave a presentation at the beginning, and said that they've accepted applicants with a 3.0 cGPA before.

The Interview portion of the day is four ten minute conversations with faculty. The faculty were all very nice and made you feel comfortable. The ten minutes flies by and is over before you know it.

Day

Interview

Writing assignment

Q&A with current students

Campus tour

My one tip: Make sure you try the food. They went to the trouble of obtaining all of it and they want you to enjoy it. Be a gracious guest

This is incredibly helpful! Thank you so much.

I am heading to Bryant for an interview this Monday 8/19, congrats to everyone who has been accepted so far.

Cheers,

Rob

Submitted: 5/23

Interview waitlist: 6/24

I went to the open house in the Spring and loved the program, staff, and former students there. I heard from former students that the teachers are as impressive as the new facilities. I've called and have been told to keep them updated with coursework recently completed since CASPA and volunteer hours. Incredibly eager to go here!

Congrats to the future students!

Good luck everyone!

Has anyone been pulled off waitlist? I know there are a few more interview sessions but I am wondering the likelihood of being taken off the wait list before the program begins

Also, I have heard there is at least one more, maybe two more interview sessions. Best of luck everyone!

Has anyone that received an email saying their a strong potential candidate for an interview end up receiving an interview offer? Also, does anyone know how far out they hold interviews? Last I called the class had not been filled.

Wondering the same thing...candidates in the past have told me that they do not normally pull people off the waitlist but anything is possible. I feel like they wouldn’t put you on waitlist if there wasn’t a potential chance.

For rfo, I am not sure on potential future interview dates but during my interview the program director said he has never completely filled the class to the maximum size it can be

Hmmm..I wonder why they wouldn't fill the class... Seems like they'd be losing out on tuition money ! Interesting! Thanks!

I interviewed today and the director stated that today was the last day of interviews and they have about 4-6 seats available as of right now.

I had received an email in August saying I was still being considered for an interview. I just received an email from Bryant saying that their application cycle for the class starting January 2020 is now closed. Is this a rejection? Or does this mean that if people start backing out from attending they will reach out to those that were "waitlisted for an interview" ? Seems a little odd

Figured I'd get this started! Does anyone have any up to date information regarding the probation status?

      Hello everyone,
I have been following this forum for a little over a month now and have obtained some very insightful information! However, I have yet to find the answers to a few of my questions. I came across the military thread but felt like my post would be more appropriate for the Pre-PA section. A little background information before I begin asking my questions, I will be transitioning out of the military in may of this year, I have already been accepted to the number one school on my list for my undergrad in exercise science. I have obtained some college credits throughout my military career and have also taken two general courses at a local community college. I have yet to receive my transfer credit evaluation but I can guesstimate that I will have around 18-24 credits total.
I will be utilizing my post 9-11 GI bill educational benefit for school, This benefit covers up to 36 months total. Would you recommend I pay out of pocket for a year or two of my undergrad in order to have PA school covered by my education benefit? Does being a veteran heighten the chances of being selected when it comes to applying to PA school?  Although I am not actively involved in the medical field as a corpsman or field medic in the military, The physician on my base has said with the approval of my leadership, he will allow me to work on patients with him and will write a letter stating the different activities and procedures I performed while working under him. Now would this technically be considered Paid Direct patient care? And could I use this for hours in my application process? The school I am attending has a policy where if you have obtained your undergrad at the institution, you are guaranteed an interview for their PA program (As long as you meet the minimum requirements). Should I keep my eyes set on getting into this program once I'm finished with my undergrad or should I still take the initiative to apply to other schools as well? Thank you all for your time!
