calypsio Posted April 1, 2019 Hi, Just wanted to get some insight on this offer in Midwest with a single doc owned private practice in Pulmonary medicine. Alternating between 1 week of clinic and 1 week of inpatient pulmonary consults and 1 weekend per month. Can anyone shed light on the incentive bonus? -Base salary: 85,000 Incentive bonus at 75% of net income (net collection- overhead (50%) Additional Weekend coverage with extra pay of $600/weekend -Paid vacation time: 2 weeks -CME: $1800 -Health Insurance: Blue Cross with HSA (tax deductible for a single at $6,500) -401K with 4% match -Paid malpractice w/ tail coverage I feel like there's room to improve/negotiate, but am unsure how much is too much to ask for a higher base salary etc. Thank you!

Is it a percentage of collections after a certain amount? If so, what is that percentage? Paid vacation is too low, especially since I don't see any sick days which should be a week and CME days another week.
ChompPaChewyChomp Posted April 2, 2019 I strongly believe that no new grad should take less than 100k starting. 2 weeks PTO is also not enough. I honestly do not understand how your bonus is set up.
SoCal_PA Posted April 2, 2019 There is no way to know without having an estimate of the bonus. Ask other PAs to get a number
