What are the chances getting into PA schoolw with a 3.12 cGPA?

Recommended Posts

I'm starting to lose faith and I'm looking for hope to hear if anyone ever got in with a low GPA? I applied to one school last year because I wanted to stay home (BIG MISTAKE).

This cycle I will be applying to 15+ schools and applying EARLY. What are my chances getting in this cycle?

Here are my stats:

Female. 25 years old.

  • 3,500 PCE
  • 3,500 HCE (continuing)
  • 600+ volunteer hours
  • Leader to nursery children at church.
  • Medical Mission trip
  • 50 hrs PA shadowing
  • cGPA: 3.12
  • sGPA: 3.36 (will be 3.54 in December 2019)
  • pGPA: 3.78 (average depending on schools' requirements)
  • Last 45-60 credits: 3.67 GPA
  • LORs: 1 Professor, 1 PA, 1 NP.

Goldielocks,

If you look at my stats on the "PA Applicant Stats Page" on page 51 you will see that I did get in with a low GPA.  I did however have military experience as a Med Lab Tech/Medic for 4yrs (92-96) so I believe that helped.  Feel free to ask me any further questions and good luck and don't give up on your dream 🙂
