No news is still good news! I’m trying not to feel dejected but I can’t help feeling so. The journey is not over!

Good luck to you!!

I received an email a couple of hours ago and I'm also waitlisted.  A buddy of mine who also interviewed on 9/20 was waitlisted too; I wish they would say why.  Praying for everyone to get in!!!

Wes did finally just call me! Accepted to the dual MPH/PA program! So I technically was applying for the year after you guys. I'm sorry to those of you who did get wait listed but I'm holding out hopes for you all and at the very least, maybe I'll see you in the following years class!

I'm sorry! There is still hope though! Also I think they said you can always reach out and ask for insight to why. Good luck everyone!

Not to hijack this and make this about waitlisted persons, but (totally just negated my opening statement) does anyone know when Campbell stops doing interviews?  I know there were 22 spots left last Friday (20 Sep); just trying to game this and guesstimate the potential for being moved from wait to accepted.  Thanks in advance for any info and thank you for well wishes!  Congrats to all those accepted!!!

Hi everyone,

Congrats to everyone who has been accepted!

Just got news that I will be interviewing October 8th. I'm very excited as Campbell is one of my top programs. I'll be flying in from Chicago a day before. If anyone who's interviewed could offer some insight for me I would greatly appreciate it.. I've had 2 interviews that I thought I did very well in and was true to myself. I told my story (come from an underserved/disadvantaged background) and why I want to specifically be a PA. I have strong communication skills and am highly passionate about service, hence my interest in Campbell's program.

Any tips for this specific interview process that would ultimately help me? Do they emphasize a Christian background? I grew up Christian but don't consider myself to be super religious. More spiritually, if anything. Is this something they prioritize? Community service and attending to the underserved is my main goal as a PA. Should I just focus on that?

I really thought I had my last interview but have not heard back after receiving news others were accepted on the same date so I assumed I didn't get in. Pretty depressed to say the least since it was my top choice.

Any insight is appreciated. Congrats again to all those accepted and hopefully we'll be future classmates 🙂

I was accepted at Campbell two weeks ago and will not be putting down a deposit as I’ve already been accepted to other programs that I felt were a better fit. If you are on the waitlist I hope one of you gets a call for my spot

When did you initially receive email that your application With Campbell was complete ? Asking on behalf of my daughter who received that email on Sept 20 (she submitted orig CASPA app on Aug 19 I believe). Just trying to gauge a possible timeline or if she waited too long to submit. Thanks, and best of luck to you !

Are they still doing interviews at this point?

I talked with Wes about a week or two ago just to check on my application because I hadn't heard anything yet, and he said they will still be doing more interviews potentially for up to another few months, so there's still hope!

I was curious about the program's Christian affiliation as well! I interviewed in early August and had an interesting conversation with one of the faculty members about this. In his words, the essence of this focus is having a heart for service versus belonging to a particular faith. Several students were very open about their Christian faith and the program director prayed to open the day, but my interviewer noted that this didn't necessarily reflect the religious views of each individual of Campbell and that there's a diversity of faith reflected there.

I hope that helps! Best of luck to you on the remainder of your interview cycle.

There does seem to be a lot of waitlisted people.  I wonder if they expect many of their offers to be either turned down or accepted then not filled or deferred.  Regardless, good luck to all of those accepted and those waitlisted!

I interviewed on 10/8 and received a call on my way home from the Interview that I had been accepted into the dual MPAP/MSCR program. Is there anyone else doing the dual MSCR program that is on here?

Did anyone get this email?

I still have not received an interview invite so I'm kind of confused if this means anything as far as where I stand in the pool.

I received that email as well! And also have not been invited for an interview so not sure if the email means anything else? I want to attend but I’m at work so I’m not sure what to do...

      Hello,
I'm looking for PA shadowing opportunities in Dallas, Texas. I'm a 26-year-old Bachelors of Science in Biology graduate from the University of North Texas at Dallas pursuing a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. I moved to Dallas when I was 15 years old from Tampico, Tamaulipas, Mexico and would like to do something with my life and what a beautiful thing to help people who need it most.

      Thank you in advance.

      Hello all,
First time posting here. I am currently a PA-S2 with an expected graduation date of July 2020. I’m unsure about my career after graduating from PA School, and was wondering about any benefits that may come with joining the military after I become certified. Any and all information regarding life/work in specific branches is greatly appreciated as I have no information on the topic as of now.
      Thank you!

      I wanted to know if anyone could add any input on this;
I had requested a PA for a letter of evaluation. He was happy to agree to give one. I also had sent him a copy of my resume just because I thought that was the appropriate thing to do.
last week at work him had mentioned two things... he had brought it up to me that I didn't have my GPA posted on my resume and asked if if I was planning to put it on my resume. he also started asking me things like "do you want me to just not address GPA at all then?". So, for the copy of the resume I had sent to her, I didn't put my GPA in because I didn't think it was going to be helpful (my undergrad is a 3.35 which is not competitive) The whole purpose of sending him a 1 page resume was so that he could know a little more of what I have done in undergrad; like, have a little more amount of information of who I am outside of scribing. (I've been a scribe for about 9 months; about 5 of those months have been heavily involved with this particular PA, so although we haven't had many conversations personally its not like I am a stranger to him
The other thing that he requested is if I had personal statement finished. I will sincerely admit, I am quite behind on the application process as my personal statement still has work to do; I told him it's still being written. He asked if she should have a summary of it or something like that so he has more details to flesh out his evaluation letter.
I told her I would email her about the GPA issue and the personal statement summary because he was asking out loud in front of the other doctors and employees in the nurses station and I was a little shy to answer. I don't know why, but I wasn't expecting him to ask those questions.
So here is what I was asking:
      1. Should I have 3.35 on my resume at all? (I was a public health major)
      2. Is giving a personal statement/summary super necessary for you LOR evaluators? Because I really have alot more to do on my PS so I'm not sure how I can make a good summary in a short amount of time to give him; as well as the other evaluators.

Hello! I know this post is stereotypical and repetitive and I apologize, but feedback would be very appreciative 🙂 Stats are below, should I apply this cycle? Or wait till next year? I’m currently on my first gap year.

cGPA: 3.7, sGPA 3.6 bio major with minirs in psych and chem, in 3 national honor societies (psych, bio, chem), academic award in my major, Dean’s list every semester

Presented original research at 2 colleges

By mid march I will have about 1000 PCE hours as an EMT

I also started a per diem HCE job as a patient sitter in the ED.

GRE is between 295-299 (can’t remember exact number), thinking of retaking

If it helps, during college I have about 120 hours as a volunteer crew member for my school’s EMS unit

If I’m forgetting something, let me know! Again thanks so much, I know how annoying these posts can be sometimes and I appreciate you taking the time to read this 🙂 have an awesome day!
