Hi All!

I am recent grad and is seriously considering doing a Emergency Medicine Residency. Has anyone heard of NYU or NYP EM residencies and whether or not they recommend them? I would like to get feedback from the PA community. Thank you!

Busy places, so certainly lots of patients to see. I do not know anyone who has attended either. There are several in NYC, including one on staten island. see links to all in the EM forum permanent threads. I know the director of the program in Upstate NY. That is a very solid program.

I interviewed at the NYP-Weill Cornell program. Seemed to be a solid program and in the middle of NYC. I think that'd be fun. It is only 12 months as opposed to 18, meaning less overall time in the ED and off-service rotations, and will need to work a bit longer before you can take the EM CAQ. That may or may not matter to you.
