I was accepted!!!!! And they also got their accreditation!!

I emailed Desi and she said she would be making a FB page with all of us in February once all the acceptances are out.

Just got my acceptance call about an hour ago!  Amazing amazing news!!!

Anybody have anything concrete on accreditation? I keep hearing rumors that Gannon-Ruskin has been approved.

She told us on the phone when she gave us out acceptance. I don't think she would've lied. Also someone called and they had all received their decisions that day but nothing will be posted/finalized on the accreditation website until probably next week

Thanks!  I got my call in January and accreditation was not mentioned. I am confident they will receive it.

So there are 9 spots remaining...yikes.

initially I was told that the first class would only have 30 students and then they would increase the class size in the years to follow. Does anyone else know if that’s right?

Someone just reached out to me and the last interview date is April 30th!

Wow. That is crazy there is still one last interview date, but I guess since it the program doesn't start until August...it's really not that late.

🤞 anxious.. but they are still holding interviews on April 30th... (wonder how many they are interviewing)... Do you or anyone happen to know how many they've accepted?

I was told in my interview in March that final decisions will be made in May! And our Facebook group has 22 people (not sure if that includes the two admins or not)

I know 😕 so I’m wondering if we’ll really hear or if it’ll be May because of that. I heard there’s 9 spots left, but that’s just from what I’ve heard! Keep me Update 😊

Thats still a good amount of offers to be given! Stay positive! 🤞

Hello, I interviewed back on November 8th, I haven't heard anything back. Feeling a bit bummed. Keeping my fingers crossed. Were there two sets of interviews? Or did anyone get accepted after 1 interview only?

Hey! I interviewed that day as well and haven’t heard back yet. What do you mean by one set? There have been multiple interview dates since, with the last being next week i believe!

I read through the whole thread and saw that someone said they interviewed more than one time. I was just curious if anyone was being accepted after the initial interview or if there is a second set of interviews, needed for acceptance. Hopefully that clarifies my question. Thanks again for any info!

It does clarify, thanks! So, to my knowledge there is just one interview (not a second set or anything), but multiple days of interviews like almost every school does. So one interview is all that one completes for them to make decisions. Does that make sense? lol. But fingers crossed for us all waiting!!

Yes, that makes perfect sense and makes me feel a bit better! I am hoping we all hear something soon! Good luck to all still waiting to hear!

Hey y'all so I am a sophomore in undergrad and in the process of just starting to get PCE, shadow, and volunteer hours and etc, but I am super stressed out because I am itching to start getting PCE hours except its so difficult while in school. I was thinking about becoming an EMT and working for 2 years after I graduate but I wasn't sure if being an EMT is considered PCE among most colleges, does anyone know? (I also tried to work as a caregiver over summer and that job isn't for me)

Also, I'm trying to compile a list of PA schools to apply to, so if anyone has any recommendations for schools on the east coast please let me know! 🙂

Hi there, my name is Vanessa and I just graduated with my bachelor's in February. I am looking to pursue into a PA program but not quite sure where to start. I am currently studying for the GRE and have about 250 internship hours done at an ENT clinic with an audiologist. I'm not sure in what I am doing and need any guidance or suggestion in what to do.

      Hi!
I'm new to this forum and desperately need the help of people who has knowledge of what it takes to become a PA! I'm a current undergrad student, a sophomore majoring in Global Public Health with a possible minor in Biology. I'm on the road to obtaining all my prerequisites, but I'm really struggling with the patient care experience hours needed. Most schools I'm viewing need 1,000 plus hours which seems insane to me. I feel like most of the jobs acceptable for direct patient care contact are things that need even more schooling, such as an MA or EMT. I've applied many places to become a Medical Scribe, or PT Aide but haven't heard back. Am I doomed to take a gap year after I get my bachelor's? I don't know how to get the needed experience without prior experience. I wrote on all my applications I'm open to complete volunteer work but still nothing.
Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I'm looking into PA school requirements and have seen that most require Human Anatomy & lab, and Human Physiology & lab. My current university (UCSD) only offers a Human Physiology lecture course. Most of the city colleges I'm looking into in order to fulfill this pre-req only offer Human Anatomy or Human Physiology as a single course of lecture and lab, rather than having separate lecture and lab courses. Do PA schools accept lecture & lab combination courses or do they want each lecture and lab to be a separate course?
