Eastcoast PA-C
I was just wondering how everyone’s employers handle OT. Our system treats anything up to an hour past your shift as expected and does not reimburse. Past an hour extra and you can get paid for it. I’ve heard several times that it’s “the standard in the industry” and was curious about how it is for others. ohiovolffemtp
No pay for staying beyond the end of the shift unless specifically approved by the medical director or associate medical director. They're willing to do this only when staying after being requested to d/t unusually heavy load or if you're completing a really long procedure. However, over 40 hours in a pay period (Sat-Fri) does get paid as overtime.
