It depends. Prereqs vary between programs. You would likely meet requirements for anatomy, physiology and microbiology based on your medical education. You might find that you have to go back and take some basic science courses like chemistry and biology. Programs also will generaly require pre-reqs to be completed recently, usually within 7-10 years, so older coursework may also need to be repeated. I would plan on at least 2 years of work. Just as a heads-up, you might also find some programs are not welcoming to international medical grads.

Look at schools you would like for location, cost, etc. Then go to the school's website to make sure all of the prerequisites match up and any details you need. Feel free to e-mail or call the programs for specific details to guide you if you are unclear. Some of the websites use wording that can leave you with questions. For the most part, the people you contact will be helpful. This will also prevent you from wasting time/money working toward applying somewhere you won't have a chance at.
