For those of you working in the hospital, have you ever requested a payscale for PAs based on years of experience. My hospital has one from years ago that's floating around. I asked HR about obtaining a current one. They just ignored my emails. HR is useless in my hospital.  Very frustrating dealing with them. Is it required for them to release the payscale? How transparent is your hospital about yearly raises and how are they calculated?

I've always found HR conveniently ignores things they don't want to deal with via e-mail. It's best to physically go over there and say hello. People are far less likely to say no to things if you are there in person.

I find admin folks will ignore anything that relates to increased pay or benefits. It is always a drag trying to change anything like that.

My hospital system has a scale based on years of experience but it is a range and is somewhat negotiable.
