roundabout
I completed a Paramedic program at a school that is not regionally accredited, however I did get a letter grade for the course and it is accredited by ACCSC. Will this count towards my CASPA GPA or is this something that will end up being school specific?
whitecoatrosegold
I would input it into CASPA and submit your transcript. CASPA will ultimately make this decision when calculating it into your GPA, but I think as long as none of your pre requisites are from this non-accredited school (a lot of programs require prereqs be from regionally accredited schools) the grades will still count towards your GPA. CASPA states to list any and all coursework, and this would qualify as just that. If foreign transcripts count, I'm sure a non-accredited school does as well. If you really want to be sure, just call CASPA. They're costumer service is pretty excellent (not their email though so I recommend calling) and someone would be able to answer this 100% for you. Good luck!
RushSoccer05
I completed my Nursing Assistant training program at a Community College and it was counted towards my overall CASPA GPA, not science GPA. I think a general rule of CASPA is that if it's on an official transcript, it will count.
roundabout
Thank you for your help! I called CASPA and they said that as long as I have an official transcript and letter grade with credit hours it will count towards my GPA! Which is great news for me. It will probably bring up my GPA at least .3 points.
