Anyone else feel AAPA is doing nothing to help advance PA profession?

That is an atrocity. Your level of experience surpasses the vast majority of us. I know you (and others) are more than qualified to be independent practitioners. It is unfortunate that the profession is hitched to physicians when it shouldn't be.

Thanks- Hopefully we can change that in the next few years. I have at least 15-20 years left to practice and hope to practice without required oversight by the time I retire.

I am no longer a member of the AAPA or PSPA in Pennsylvania. My concerns with stagnant to falling wages, saturation and the surplus of PA programs (20 or so) in our state has been met with the "We are facing a healthcare provider shortage, there is nothing to be worried about"

States like PA, Florida and Tennessee  should by dire warnings for the profession
