I am thinking of deciding last minute to apply. It says the deadline for the application is February 1st, but verified is March 1st. My application is already verified, but is it too late?

No it's not too late! You have until March 1st to submit your Caspa and grad school application then April 15th for it to be verified by CASPA. Go for it

thank you!!!

With the current situations going on in the world right now, has anyone heard if they will be delaying notifying people about interview invitations or anything? Because I know on their website it says they will be notifying applicants in March/April

Sorry I don't have an answer, just wanted to say that I've been wondering the same! Hopefully we hear something soon

Hey guys! I received the following email from U of M Flint today, and I was just curious, has anyone been invited for an interview yet, or are they just giving a heads up?

I received the same email earlier today. I’m not sure if they’re sending out official interview invites and just delaying the in person interviews themselves, or delaying the whole process all together due to the current outbreak.

I also received the same email and wondered the same thing. I sent the director an email to confirm if this was an invite or if the invite process would be delayed.

Could you let us know what they respond with? 🙂 I'm also curious if this delays their accreditation visit in June.

Will do! I haven't received a reply yet. I'm curious if their accreditation will be delayed as well. Hopefully that will be addressed in their response.

Hi All!

This is so helpful, I was concerned about the exact same things. I am hopeful that they still send out interview invites during their application review process. I hope that this doesn't cause delay with the accreditation, this is my top choice!

Hello, I am having a lot of trouble trying to narrow down schools to apply to. Where I currently live, most of the schools nearby I cannot apply to because of my stats so I am seeking out of state options. I am ending my sophomore year so I still have another year before I can begin applying (and another year to continue to boost my GPA). Any help would be appreciated!
GPA currently: 3.426 ( My last semester has not been added in still and my science GPA would be similar)
I am not taking Ochem 2 or biochem but I have planned/taken genetics, cell bio, microbio, ochem 1, 2 semesters of general bio and 2 semesters of general chem, med term, med ethics, anatomy, physiology, and most other pre-reqs. My main issue is that I have AP credit for statistics that my university accepts for my BS degree but I have noticed that there are some PA schools that do not accept that. I am also extremely involved  and by the time I apply, I will have a high number of service/leadership hours (President of my schools Pre-PA Association, chapter correspondent and philanthropy committee for my sorority, recruitment chair for the universities Relay for Life, and involved in other orgs). I have worked as a nursing assistant at the city's major hospital for over a year and I am seeking another job as a scribe in the ER. I have not begun shadowing yet because of COVID affecting my summer opportunities.
If you have experience in applying or likes/dislikes of literally any schools, I would appreciate it! I am not trying to decide on a school right now, I am simply trying to gain insight on potential schools to apply to since the ones near me are not options (Ohio/Michigan area). I have started a detailed list of schools I have researched, but I am struggling to find realistic options and those that I would be able to apply to.
      Thanks!

      Hello!
I am a Pre-PA applying for the second time this cycle.
I took 3 science classes this spring to boost my gpa, which is what held me back last year. I'm worried it won't be enough, so I'm considering taking an online pathology course. I found that the University of Minnesota offers it. Has anyone taken this course from this institution? Did you take it else where? Is there another science online course you took in the summer?

      Thank you in advance,
      Karina

      Hello Everyone,
Is anyone aware of any virtual shadowing opportunities through zoom or any other video platform during this COVID-19 Pandemic?

I'm trying to decide whether Abnormal Psychology or Lifespan Human Growth & Development would be a better second psychology course to take. I've looked at my top programs and either they don't mention which is better or they mention both. Anyone willing to tell me which one would look better to admission panels? Which is most helpful when becoming a PA? Which one would be more interesting? I've included course descriptions below. The Abnormal Psychology course does have a higher course number, if that matters.
Abnormal Psychology: An introduction to the psychological science of mental disorders including problems of emotion, mood, mind, schizophrenia and personality disorders. Diagnosis and treatment will also be considered.
Lifespan Human Growth and Development: A multidimensional approach to studying human growth and development across the lifespan involving theory, research, and practical applications.
