medic1210
I’m currently filling in my work experience, over a decade working as a paramedic in the field and trauma center. CASPA asks for details and duties of the job(s). I’ve listed them in bullet form such as: - IV insertion - ECG interpretation - etc Is it reasonable to do it this way or should I complete it in narrative form? Anachronist
I think this section is more for the more ambiguous jobs, but everyone knows what a Paramedic does. I would go with a vague narrative, you aren't being assessed on your IV abilities. Something along the lines of "As an NREMT and State of X licensed Paramedic I responded to emergency calls including x, y, and z and provided ALS and transfer of care to ED facilities. In the trauma center at "insert name" I did x, y, and z. So that they see you were hands on and not an administrator. That's about it. Oh, and if you were a shift leader, helped with training, had any "leadership" type position, include that too. Adcoms love that stuff.
