Shadowing Hours

I have several hundred shadowing hours, however they are for a physician and not a PA. I have a few hours shadowing a PA but not nearly as much as with the physician, could this be a potential concern on my application? Or do schools just want to see a form of shadowing?

Eh, it's helpful to shadow both. Solidify's your answer as to why you want to be a PA and not MD. That said, you should certainly shadow PAs for the baseline minimum required by the school. 24 hours should suffice for most. Shadowing is arguably the least important aspect of your application, so don't go too overboard with racking up more hours than you already have.

That’s true, I was just concerned because I have way more doctor shadowing than PA shadowing. Thank you for responding!
