2018-2019 Application Cycle- UC Davis

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone! congrats and all who have received interview invites! and those on the waitlist, fingers crossed. I scheduled my interview for oct 16. Hopefully I'll have the chance to meet up with a couple of you. I am open to even meeting up beforehand. I am driving in from the central valley.

Anyway, I know it goes without being said that interviews are formal business attire. But reading past posts in the 2016-2017 cycle, I got a little confused. I just wanted to confirm that this is the appropriate dress attire, because the past post mentioned that there were no formal interviews held at the "Applicant Visit Day".

Also, does anybody have any insight on the day's activities? I have only read about a two minute elevator speech.

I have spoken with a few UCD PA students and they have been doing more multimedia interviews. They set up group activities, while evaluating how well you work in a collaborative environment, in addition to the elevator speech that I believe was either 1 or 2 minutes long where you talk about why you want to be a PA. It is not your traditional, one-on-one interview like many other PA schools. However, it is still formal attire.

Also, what is meant by the elevator speech?
