daydreamy
Hello All! For those who are applying to programs that require a CV/resume (i.e. Drexel), have you already completed your CV/resume? Are we allowed to choose if we submit a CV or a resume, or do they require a CV? Thank you! :)
panglossian
Hello! I have a resume I use to apply for jobs that I edited and uploaded to CASPA. I have contacted a few programs requiring a CV/resume and confirmed that both are acceptable (yes, you can choose). Unless you have a significant amount of work experience I would recommend a resume. Good luck!
Amanda90
I didn't know there was a difference between the two. I thought a CV was just a more technical term for resume.
edwardcorner
Three major differences between CVs and resumes are the length, the purpose and the layout. A resume is a brief summary of your skills and experience over one or two pages, a CV is more detailed and can stretch well beyond two pages. The resume will be tailored to each position whereas the CV will stay put and any changes will be in the cover letter. A CV has a clear chronological order listing the whole career of the individual whereas a resume’s information can be shuffled around to best suit the applicant. Caligal
I had to submit a CV/resume for my program and I opted to go with a CV, it’s more detailed and has more information.
