Pain PA salary

Recommended Posts

Hey fellow pain mgmnt PA's. I've been at my current job for 18 months and would like to sit down with my SP for an evaluation and ask for a raise. I do some injections (shoulder/hip bursitis, occipital nerve blocks). If you don't mind sharing, what is your salary and benefits? How many patients do you see/hr?

In the 2018 AAPA salary report, PAs in pain management with 10-14 years of experience and in the 90th percentile for bonuses earned 400k! What?! How is this possible? They must be selling the drugs. Do they own the practice or is this possible from taking a percentage of collections?

Also, how many pain practices pay PAs in percentages of collections?
