Its possible that the Thanksgiving holiday has delayed these a bit since no one was on campus.  If you haven't heard back by the end of the week I'd send an email in.

I feel like this year they have been running a little slower than they have in previous cycles. Let's hope we all hear something real soon! I'm tired of anxiously waiting for news!

Has anyone received a confirmation email recently? I'm thinking about calling or sending an email to inquire about the status.

I received mine on November 16th, but it sounds like not many people have heard back yet.

I read that WSUs accreditation is on probation. What does that mean for the class of 2021

It would mean nothing for us. We could still become fully licensed and take the PANCE. If WSU fails the inspection for a second time then they could be in trouble. But, I've read that they are in the process of getting off probation very soon. I heard it was more of a clerical error vs. a systemic problem.

I really thought they would send out some Invites yesterday, did ANYONE hear anything?

I received my confirmation email this week so I'm pretty sure they are a week or two behind normal schedule. Hopefully next week we start seeing invites!

Does anyone know how the interview process with WSU goes?  Like, is it a group interview, one on one, is there an exam we take?

I've been told the interview consists of two 1-on-1 interviews. The first is with a faculty member or someone involved with admissions, and the 2nd interview is with a practicing PA.

Both a practicing PA from the community and a member from the faculty will interview you together. That was my experience last year, not sure if they’ll change it up this year.

Yay!! Congratulations! So exciting that it’s finally time. Do you know if they’re still planning on the 7, 14, and 21st of January or are they pushing it out further?

I was invited to interview on January 10th and my email had the 7th, 10th, or 14th for tentative dates.

I also received an invitation for the 14th in the afternoon! I look forward to meeting all of you! If anyone is traveling from out of town and has any questions about the area feel free to hit me up.

Hello! Looking for PAs to shadow in the San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles County, and/or Ventura County areas! I have been looking around with little/no luck, and most of the PAs in my area seem to work at the local Kaiser, and I'm not sure how easy it would be to shadow their PAs. If anyone knows of any PAs that would be willing to let a student shadow them for a few days, I would appreciate their contact info! Thank you in advance, and good luck to all!

Hello everyone! I did not see a thread for the applications for Gannon University in Erie, PA? Has anyone applied as a post-baccalaureate student? They do have a 5 year combined bachelor's and master's program but I believe they accept a few students besides their undergraduate class.

My name is Tessa and I am currently an MA at a dermatology clinic. I am aspiring to be a PA and will be applying during the next cycle. I have worked along side PAs for about 2 years now in dermatology and have experience working in a level 1 ED. However, I am looking for any PA shadow opportunity in Arizona that is not dermatology as I want to branch out and have an understanding of what PAs do in different fields. I live in Glendale but I am willing to travel anywhere in Arizona.
If you are a PA or know a PA or any open opportunities feel free to reach out to me on here.
      Thank you!

      Hey all,
Been reading a lot about applicants who have taken a biology/health-science/etc. masters program in an effort to improve their GPA or to "show" PA schools that they can handle tough, upper level coursework. I was wondering what you'd consider the "cut-off" to be for when you should or should not pursue a masters? Anything less than 3.7? 3.6? 3.5? 3.4?
Quite frankly I've been considering this myself (I'd be happy to provide my stats). I know a lot of factors obviously go into a decision like this (trends, cGPA, sGPA, pre-reqGPA, HCE, shadowing, the application as a whole, etc.), but just kinda wondering what peoples inclinations are on this.
      Thanks!
