SedRate Posted February 17, 2018 Share Posted February 17, 2018 Hello all, My contract is up for review, and I wanted to reach out to you guys in the surgical world regarding first assist fees. Do you guys have any generic first assist fee schedules that I could use as a reference? I work in orthopedic trauma and we do fracture work as well as hemiarthroplasty. We don't do totals nor scopes. I know the fees vary depending on the insurance. For those who work as first assists for hire, do you have a set on-call fee and then also bill the insurance for the assist fee?
