tyeshia1
How do I open a private pediatric practice in Louisville, KY? If I need a supervising physician, how often do they have to be present, do they have to sign charts, etc.? I cannot get a direct answer from the licensing board. Thanks in advance! LadyNichiavelli
I would think that the supervising physician would have to be very involved due to the fact that Kentucky is the only state in which PAs cannot prescribe controlled substances. https://www.aapa.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/f-833-4-8256527_dk6DMjRR_Prescribing_IB_2017_FINAL.pdf

ohiovolffemtp
I worked in 2 physician owned practices in KY, 1 was IM - did a lot of Vivitrol, the other an UC across the street from the IM practice. Both owned by the same doc. Both practices used a web based EMR. Doc was never present but did sign all charts but didn't really review in any major way. Frankly, I have a much better scope of practice in Ohio and currently only work there.
