ElizabethLD
Hi everyone. I am a new graduate and I have been offered a full time position (8-5, no weekends) in an endocrinology private practice in the DFW area. I think it sounds like a reasonable offer, but I'm worried it might be a little low. Does anyone have any thoughts? $95K/year base salary with annual review and increase potential at that time. No mention of bonus. 10 days PTO plus holidays 3 sick days $1200 CME stipend with 3 days off Malpractice and licensing fees are covered For health insurance I would be able to "sign up for a group sharing plan", but I don't think the practice covers any of the cost (I will ask them to clarify). Thank you all for your help. Any feedback is appreciated.
marktheshark89
Salary isnt low at all. i’d ask for 15 days PTO, 2k and 5 days for CME, and clarify the medical insurance. If it will be pricey you could ask for a bit more for salary.
dchampigny
A few red flags here..... 10 days off is only 2 weeks. As a new grad, you will need to unwind. Trust me! The health insurance is the make or break. If not covered, your salary becomes a lot lower. CME should be higher. I would pass on the offer. Typophsyco
Out of curiosity, did you end up accepting this position or clarifying the health insurance details?
