Clinical Guideline Books

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone-

i have been out of school for ~ 6 months and have been working in inpatient Cardiology/Hospitalist since then.  I am in the process of looking for a per diem/part time job either at an Emergency Department, Urgent Care or Internal/Family Medicine place.

Is there a clinical guideline book that you guys recommend for be to have an use at this new gig or even when managing inpatients at my current job?  I am sure there is a good guideline/book you guys can recommend.

Thanks in advance,

Eduardo

OK, I will bite. Start here for minor stuff:

your best bet is to take the following courses over the next 1-2 years: ACLS, ATLS, PALS, FCCS, DIFFICULT AIRWAY COURSE and attend an EM specific conference or two like those put on by ACEP or SEMPA. maybe take an u/s course too.
