EMNP
Hello everyone- i have been out of school for ~ 6 months and have been working in inpatient Cardiology/Hospitalist since then. I am in the process of looking for a per diem/part time job either at an Emergency Department, Urgent Care or Internal/Family Medicine place. Is there a clinical guideline book that you guys recommend for be to have an use at this new gig or even when managing inpatients at my current job? I am sure there is a good guideline/book you guys can recommend. Thanks in advance, Eduardo

Start here for minor stuff: https://www.amazon.com/Minor-Emergencies-Expert-Consult-Online/dp/0323079091/ref=dp_ob_title_bk your best bet is to take the following courses over the next 1-2 years: ACLS, ATLS, PALS, FCCS, DIFFICULT AIRWAY COURSE and attend an EM specific conference or two like those put on by ACEP or SEMPA. maybe take an u/s course too. PA-SGuy
i had a post about this awhile ago. Most recommended using uptodate, USPTFS website, ACOG, etc. I've heard good things about Harrison's principles of internal med. Unfortunately there does not appear to be a good that encompasses all the guidelines in a easy to read/find manner.
