surgblumm Posted May 4, 2018 Share Posted May 4, 2018 I wrote some of the initial articles on "name change" and most were published in Advance for Physician Assistants in 1997. We did have a name change authorized by the AAPA entitled PA. We tried to kill this assistant part but by just saying PA there is instant recognition.
