SoCal_PA
This will be my first renewal and I am confused. I'm from California . On the NCCPA site, it says my CME earning window goes until 12/31/2018. My license is up 11/31/2017 and I have to renew. It says I need to have fulfilled my CME in order to renew my license...? Why is there is there a discrepancy in the timeline?
Guest ral
Your state license has separate requirements than NCCPA. Typically, state license is renewed yearly, and NCCPA is on a two year cycle.
DizzyJ
Your state license is different from NCCPA certification. So, it is not a discrepancy as they are two different entities. In general, so long as you meet any specific CME for your state (such as a specific number of pharm hours) and are currently NCCPA certified, then you can attest to being current on CME. California requires 50 Cat 1 CME per every two years. Technically, you should be able to provide them with the required CME dated between your two year license period 12/1/2015-11/31/2017 if audited.
