Guest kellico28
I am in dire need of a PA to shadow in Atlanta, Georgia. However, I have a full time job. I really need to find someone who would be willing to let me come by on the weekends or at night. Please let me know if anyone has any suggestions! Thank you so much! Whitney13
Kellico, have you had any luck finding someone to shadow on the weekends or during the evenings in Atlanta? I am in school for most of the day and am having the same problem!
Guest kellico28
Hi Whitney, No, I still do not have a PA to shadow. I will be sure to reply to this thread if I have any luck!!!
bluesguy
I could certainly use some help in this area also. Finding someone to shadow on weekends is much more difficult than I had thought it would be.
Guest Hdjdjbxj
Hey guys I would recommend looking up the mentor list on the GAPA site and contacting a PA in your area: http://www.gapa.net/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=71&Itemid=80 This is actually where I got my first shadowing opportunity a few years back. Another suggestion for those that can only shadow in the PM or odd hours is to check in with local ED's or urgent care clinics. A lot of these places utilize PAs so you may think about walking in or calling. A great opportunity that I had was to shadow PA students on their clinic rotations, you may be able to find a current student at one of the 2 local programs on this forum. You send 10 emails, you get 9 no's and 1 yes. That's pretty much how it goes. Good luck!
