rosiepoo_unowho
I've been accepted to a school that is ranked 70th in the nation. This certainly isn't a top ranked school, but it's a good program (continuing accreditation, 97% PANCE pass rate, etc). How much importance is placed on the rank of your PA program in the hiring process, post-graduation? Thanks for your input!
PACrankset
As far as I understand it doesn’t matter much. The rankings are a bit subjective generally and it seem that your first job is more about the connections and recommendations you get while on rotation. boli
couldn't matter less. The rankings are totally subjective and generally pretty useless. The other metrics you mentioned are much more important- tuition, accreditation, PANCE pass rate, clinical site availability etc.
UGoLong
Asked and answered many times. There is no PA program ranking system that really matters.Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
paproof
I would say very few (if any) employers nationally keep tabs on PA program rankings. School rankings have more to do with their ability to prepare you for the PANCE. If you pass your boards you're good to go.

Where are you getting your information? School rankings have nothing to do with their ability to prepare you for the PANCE. If they did they might actually mean something. zrader
The most important question is: How good of a fit is the school for you? If this is the right school for you, then those rankings shouldn’t matter and this school is actually ranked number one (in your heart). Your compatibility and excitement with/for a school should always outweigh their ranking.
GreatChecko
Will the school prepare you to be a good PA and pass the PANCE? That's what matters. When it comes to work, its the contacts you make via rotations and the rotations available. Arguably, even that matters less than just getting the PA-C. UGoLong
To my knowledge, there is no PA program ranking that has any demonstrated validity.Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
