I submitted my supplemental application all the way back in July. Has anyone else still not heard anything? I know they're interviewing through early December but damn!

I submitted in July too! I'm still hopeful though. They should have more interview invites to send out!

For those who interviewed already, how did you like the interview set up? I have interviewed at other schools and it felt like they were just grilling me with tough questions in the 2 on 1 with faculty. Also it says something about a group activity? How do you prepare for this?

Congrats @Mercyoverflows and @3chainz!

@PrePhysicianAssistant, the interviews were very conversational. They really emphasized that even though they know interviews are inherently stressful, they wanted to try to make the experience as stress-free as they possibly could. You have two 1-on-1 interviews with a faculty member that last ~15 minutes each. As far as the team exercise goes, there really is no way to prepare for it so try not to stress about it. It wasn't bad at all.

Thank you!! I interview on December 4th! I like that it is 1-on-1. I think those are better than 2-on-1's.

So if I haven't received an interview invite yet should I count myself out? It seems pretty late in the game to expect one :/

I haven’t heard back yet either but I was told that they’ll keep inviting into December (for January dates) so there’s still hope for us.

Definitely not. I applied back in July and just got an imterview invite yesterday, so remain optimistic!

There was no need for a letter. Just a statement like "Yes, I would like to be kept on the waitlist" or "no" was enough.

Received an acceptance email today. Blown away. Interviewed 10/10, waitlisted around the end of October, heard back today. I don't really know how to state my enthusiasm here so I'll pre-emptively answer my fellow neurotics' questions for stats.

3.5 gpa Biology degree, upward trend (4 point last semester)

Just under 2000 hours of medical experience as an EMT-B in a city known for violence & poverty

Medical study abroad

Philanthropy chairman in my undergraduate Fraternity

Second application cycle with zero interviews last year

Wow! Can't believe I made it.

From no interviews --> Accepted at the school that started it all.

Now that's what I call 0 to 100. Congrats! :)

Hi everyone! I knew that Duke's supplemental application would be a beast, but I was just curious if anyone had experience with the patient care and shadowing tabs? Here is what I am struggling with:
      - PATIENT CARE: can the description be the same as on my CASPA? And what exactly should I be putting for the agreeable and disagreeable aspects of my responsibilities?
      - Shadowing: can I put the same descriptions as my CASPA?
Thanks guys! Best of luck to everyone!

Hi PAs as Pre-PAs: I am fortunate enough to say that I have a choice of PA programs to choose from- Emory and Duke. I have visited both schools during the interview, and both are impressive. I’ll be moving with my husband, who will need to find a job wherever we end up, and it seems like Atlanta may have more opportunities for jobs in his field (landscape architecture). I’m thrilled but a bit stumped as to which to choose. I’d sincerely appreciate some insight from those that are familiar with the programs. What would be on your pro and con list? Thank you!

      Hello!
As I come closer to making some tough decisions regarding programs, I am hoping to gather information and opinions from current students from the above programs or perhaps students who have interviewed at a combination of the above programs. More specifically, I am wanting to know if any students, interviewees, or alumni would be willing to share their personal experiences regarding 1) best and strongest aspects of the program 2) aspects that could be improved upon 3) level of support from faculty/program resources and 4) anything you were surprised about after matriculating into the program. I’d also like to know about any goofy things (location, parking, student perks) that you’d consider a plus or minus about the program.
I have interviewed and been accepted into two of these programs and interview at the third fairly soon. I really love each for different reasons...proximity to spouse, culture of the area, resources, etc., but find that having interviewed with so many programs back-to-back, I wish I would have conversed with current students during the interview day more extensively (interview and travel fatigue... 😶)
Anyhow, I would appreciate any and all comments.
      Thanks!

Didn't see a thread for the current application cycle. Please post link if there is already a topic.
I got an email on July 6th that my application has been received and was given an application status link. Has anyone gotten an interview?
