tmg18
Hello everyone! I'm planning to apply in the next application cycle and I am wondering if I should retake organic chemistry 2. Only a few of the programs that I am applying to require an organic chemistry course and those that do require only one semester. I have completed both organic chemisrty 1 and 2 and earned a B in organic chemisrty 1 and a C in organic chemistry 2. Since only one semester of the course is required, should I even bother retaking it since I received a B in the first course? Also, I'm not sure if this matters but I also received a C in biochemistry, but retook the course and earned an A. I currently have a 3.67 cGPA and 3.65 sGPA. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks! pastudentw
Nope I wouldn't think it would be necessary to retake it. Your overall GPA's are great so obviously getting C's wasn't a common occurance. Plus the majority of schools won't factor it in towards you pre-requisites even though it will still count against you on your CASPA GPA.
south
Big fan of retaking courses but I think maybe this one may not be worth it for the very few GPA points it would affect you. Unless you remember everything and it would be much easier, or you just want to.
