AT Still 2017-2018 Applicants

Recommended Posts

Hi! I am interviewing on the 26th as well! :)
For those of you concerned about your GPA, mine isn't all that amazing. My undergrad GPA was only a 3.3, but my graduate GPA was a 3.84. I think what possibly makes me stand out is my 15 years of clinical experience, the last 10 as a registered dietitian. So, we all have different strengths. I like to (optimistically) think that schools look more holistically at applications and don't focus on one portion that may be a weaker spot.

Congratulations! Good luck with your interview!

I'm an RD too! Hoping to get an interview invite?

Hey Shells,

It isn't too late to apply for this cycle. Last cycle, some of my friends received invites as late as December, but there are less spots available toward the end of the season. With that being said, apply as soon as you can because there are two additional short essays that are required for the supplemental application. You can do it!

Thanks ajames!

Just sent my CASPA application in today.

For those interviewing on July 26th, I would love to get together the night before on the 25th to meet some of you and recognize familiar faces for the day of the interview. It would be great to go to a casual dinner and maybe even practice some interview questions. Let me know if anyone is interested or if there is already a meet-up happening. I'm so nervous! (:

I am so excited to be connecting with all of you guys on this forum. Congrats to all those who have had an interview date already especially this July. I applied in May and completed their Secondary about a week later.

I received an invite yesterday morning for an interview for 8/09.

does anyone have their interview set for this date?

That sounds awesome! Unfortunately my flight gets in late on the 25th, so I won't be able to meet up that night. But I look forward to meeting everyone on the 26th!

I don't mind at all! I submitted my secondary app on June 28, and then I received my interview invite on June 30th.

What? You invited for an interview that fast? Does your secondary app check list say "completed" on every task on the list?

I submitted my secondary app back in May...

I have a check mark and a date next to all of the tasks on the list. The only exception is the last item on the list called "application completed", for some reason there is no date next to that one. Does yours look the same way??

Hi everyone. I just received an email about diversity. I am quite confused. Can someone please tell me what does the interview email look like? Is there a chance with this email?

I didn't receive the email about diversity, so I wonder if they don't send that to everyone? However, I did receive an email inviting me for an interview. The email I received specifically says "We are pleased to invite you to our campus for an interview". Hopefully, you'll get your invite soon!

I chose AT Still over other programs because they are really true to their mission and it stands out in every aspect of their program. Their passion to impact the community says a lot about the kind of people at the university. They also have an amazing program that has been around for a while, amazing and easily approachable faculty that still practice, and it's an interdisciplinary grad school. Being interdisciplinary, we get to interact with other health science students all the time. It's 26 months- not too long, not too short. And we are one of the only programs that have an ultrasound course!

Thank you for the great info! how can we best prepare for the interview, if you can think of one thing.  Also is there still an Essay portion of the interview?

I would go over the school's mission until you know it by heart and come up with a few solid stories to back up who you say you are in your essay. Especially what makes you want to serve the underserved.

When I interviewed, we did a group activity and not the essay. It could always change, so be prepared anyway.

For those who have an interview on the 26th this month, have you received any other emails from the program? I was debating on whether to call them about a specific meeting spot or a more detailed schedule of the day. So excited to meet all of you :)!

Assuming nothing has changed from last year you will simply go in the front doors and sign in at the front desk, they will tell you where to go from there :) Good luck at your interview!
