8404PA
So we know for things like ACLS there re algorithms for treatments. Medicine is one giant algorithm. Are there any books or ect. that have algorithms for lung disease or throat diseases for example. I'm a visual learner and I like to draw out charts and use algorithms to figure things out, that's probably why I love Ochem. If there isn't any, I'll make my own but time is always against us PA students. something like SOB (yes/no) , vesicular breath sounds (yes/no) and each one take you down different paths. I'm trying to better organize differentials inside my head basically.
ERCH04
Lexicomp Online.pdf I use Lexicomp 5 minute clinical consult. It comes with tons of algorithms but Lexicomp is expensive. Here's an example...
cop to pa
I use the 5 minute clinical consults for both the algorithms and for the differentials during our case workups in school. But, it's more of a double check to make sure I'm not missing anything. The one I use is an edition or two old that I picked up used for about $20. cop to pa
Also, the American Academy of Family Practitioners has approaches to various disorders. They use algoriths but, more importantly, discuss the whys. And, its free. I will sometimes google, for example, "aafp, approach to dyspnea" and get this: http://www.aafp.org/afp/2003/1101/p1803.html

karebear12892
If your school provides you with a subscription to UpToDate, they have some fantastic algorithms. I've used UpToDate more than all of my required textbooks put together. It's a great resource!
