belle12 Posted October 17, 2016 I just found out my interview in a week was going to follow the multiple mini interview format. This has thrown me for a loop, as it's not what I was expecting after talking to past applicants. Does anyone have any information/tips on what to expect or how to prepare? EMSGuy1982 Posted October 18, 2016 http://forum.paeaonline.org/2015/wp-content/uploads/proceedings2015/T217.pdf Found this on the web. The program I just graduated from uses this interview style. Having been through it I feel that is a great process. It's not impossible to prepare for this type of interview. I would just get comfortable answering lots of questions and don't, I repeat, don't try to have answers to questions memorized. It won't help you out in any way. The mini interview format puts you in a type of forum with other applicants where you have to listen to their response and in turn either build off that or take it in a different direction. It's definitely a dynamic format that gives you opportunity to personalize your responses to questions. Hope this helps and good luck! Put your best self forward and leave it all on the table.

Not all MMIs work that way. Some just have you do multiple...mini...interviews. By yourself with an interviewer and each one has a different scenario but not with other applicants. Check the website of the program you are applying to and straight up google MMIs and you should be able to find plenty of info.
aty001 Posted October 20, 2016 all of this guy's youtube videos are super helpful. He goes through how you should answer an MMI question and then goes through a bunch of practice questions. Going through all of his videos definitely made me more confident for the interview; however I didn't feel completely prepared during the interview either (which is the point since all of the questions will be new to you). I would just practice being able to organize your thoughts and present them well. It's not about saying the right answer, so don't read a question and think "what do they want me to say?" They want you to be yourself, and all you need to practice is organizing your thoughts. For the actual interview my best advice would be to be calm. If you get flustered, take a breath and relax. Good luck!
