You know, the enlisted guys always respect an officer who comes up through the ranks- Hey, I did 6 weeks in the ER at Walter Reed while you were there- Nice place- I had the oppertunity to go to WSO school (weapons systems) in 87- I had met LtGen Shad in Texas and he offered it to me- My wife said no- And that was about the length of the conversation as i recall- If she hadn't, there is a good chance I would have been killed in the gulf War- And, I wouldn't be here with all of you nice folks...Funny how life goes in different directions.
