Hi! I received a phone call today, and I interview on the 29th! I am honestly still in shock. I have a pressing question if anyone can answer, does anyone have any information regarding the interview style?? Also, how heavily is the admissions committee going to base their decision after your interview on whether or not you will be admitted into the program? Thank you so much for the feedback! We have all worked so hard!!

Last years interview included 3 one on one interviews, a tour, and a group discussion about an ethical issue. However, Elizabeth noted that individuals who interviewed last year will have to be placed back into the applicant pool and if chosen to interview, will have to re-interview since faculty has changed (mostly just the program director) and the interview process is different. Therefore, I would not assume that the interview process will be like last years. 

I am also from out of state and had to fly in last year. What I did was just rented a car and will be doing this year as well. You can rent a car from a couple of companies at the airport, but I would recommend booking one in advance (I went through Alamo). A place to eat that is pretty cool that is walking distance from the school is The Dispensary.

I know you posted this a couple years back but I am interviewing at FMU on 3/28 and am interested in doing the Navy Health Profession Scholarship Program as well. Does the HPSP support PA schools that have probationary accreditation status?

I interviewed this morning and it was really good. Short and sweet. They are accepting 32 students and will send out acceptance/waitlist/denial by May 1st.

Yes, the full time length. You mainly are doing things such as touring or interviewing.  It goes by fast.

Has anyone heard back yet? the waiting is killing me....I saw that the last class got phone calls around April 5th so hopefully everyone gets one around that time.

I asked during the interview about an admission decision. May 1st at the latest, which they said is highly unlikely. Also, I was told letters in the mail will be going out so no phone calls or emails.

Wow really letters in the mail....that is interesting I have never heard of that usually its an email or phone call. If anyone gets a letter in the mail please inform the rest of us on the forum so I know to look out for one if I am accepted.

Current student here. You should receive a phone call from Elizabeth followed by a letter in the mail for confirmation. Good luck everyone! I enjoyed meeting many of you during the tours :) looking forward to seeing lots of you guys on campus in the fall!

Do you know how they are basing their decision? I am assuming it will be based on the remarks of the five individuals that we interviewed with...does it have to be unanimous? majority?

I was accepted last week over the phone. Any advice about places to live? I have a dog and haven't been able to find any pitbull friendly apartments. Really excited to meet everyone moving forward!

I was accepted this morning! I received a call from the Director and I am beyond excited!! This has been an extremely long journey and I am so grateful!
