I was also interviewed 01/30 Manhattan campus.. no response still. I reached out to Jennifer she said we will be hearing back by the end of March. I also spoke to an admin assistant (not Katrina) and she said by the end of May. They are taking quite a long time to respond.

Hi Guys - are interviews still going on for Touro - Manhattan?

I got an email ~2 months ago that my app is still under review and I'll hear back by June 1.

Is this a bad sign?

:(

Hey guys just curious what are your stats? I dont think my science gpa is that great

there's a strong, unique backstory to my GPA

entering into college (ugrad) my dad has a mitral valve regurge... emergency open heart to follow.  Then CHF, etc, etc, etc.. over ~17 years.. followed by pericarditis for an emergency pericardectomy in a Boston Hospital.  This greatly influenced my low GPA... but I've worked SO hard to overcome this..

2.9ugrad GPA

3.3 MS GPA

>4000 clinical hours as a pulmonary rehab coordinator

>2000 clinical hours as a pulmonary function technician

>4000 clinical hours as a clinical research coordinator (between 2 hospitals at the same time)

-Research Lab Manager for 4 years

>500 hours as a non-medical volunteer for the salvation army

>500 hours a medical volunteer for the boston athletic association (boston marathon and misc races)

-8 publications (first author pubs, posters, abstracts)

certified exercise phyisologist

ACLS

BLS

worked at 3 hospitals at the same time to accumulate all this...

and I'm still feeling disappointed I won't get in despite how hard I've worked to overcome my short comings due to family health issues that really, and unfortunately impacted my ugrad and the end of my MS...

:/

Anyhow, congrats to everyone who was accepted!  Really happy for you :)

Just updating that I interviewed 3/20 and received an acceptance email this week on Fri 4/14. I have to give an answer (or put down a deposit) by 5/2. Good luck everyone. I think they give us such a short time to decide so that if we decline our spot in the program, they can open it up to others who are waiting.

      Hey everyone!

I was recently accepted into a program for fall of 2020. BIOCHEM was not a prerequisite, but I have been currently retaking the class in case I had to re apply. My acceptance is conditional based on having an up to date physical and that is It (I already submitted the physical). My question is, is It worth finishing up this class strong? Or should I stop putting effort into the class and relax until my program starts? I’m not sure what to do & don’t want to waste time studying if I do not have to! Thanks !!

      Hello everyone,
I am new to this site and I would really appreciate if I can receive advice. I have an undergraduate GPA of 3.045 right now this is prior to my spring semester grades being placed in and I project my GPA to raise but I guess not much since I will mostly have A's and B's. I am also graduating in December so I have one more semester. What makes me nervous is that Yale requires prereq's that I don't have yet (Micro, A&P I AND II, and Biochem) but I have the statistics portion. Luckily, Yale doesn't require any labs for the prereq's. Yale's minimum GPA req is a 2.8 however, CASPA hasn't calculated my GPA yet and based on what I've heard a CASPA gpa is way lower than your transcript gpa and I want to be competitive.
Not to mention that I am a psychology major which is already not the usual biology/chem. My major (science undergraduate) is a 3.5.
My plans were this summer to take these classes at a community college while completing classes towards finishing my degree at my usual university. The reason for this is due to COVID-19 and my school deciding to continue remote learning via ZOOM. My university doesn't have the best science professors from what I heard and what I seen (taking chem which I got an A in). I figured community college whose curriculum is already set up as online would be much easier for me to pick u in and CHEAPER of course. I say all of this to ask if it makes since to put myself through all of this in the summer if I may not get an interview based on the fact that my regular GPA is 3.0 and even if I take all of these classes and receieve a 4.0 I doubt my CASPA gpa will be raised by that much.
      My PCE (Paid) is 2000.

Hello, I am a student doing my bachelor's and was wondering if there are any PA in Long Island -preferably in Northwell or Winthrop hospital - that are willing to take a shadow on. I am trying to get my shadowing hours complete before starting CASPA. Thank You!

Hi !! I am hoping to get into Touro's PA program in Henderson, Nevada - has anyone applied or gotten in? I would love any information on the interview process, stats and if you received an interview, were accepted or denied or anything at all you can offer!
