jdp97d Posted July 9, 2016 I have a Bachelors in general studies, will that look bad on my application for PA school? Will I have trouble getting into PA school with that?
Febrifuge Posted July 9, 2016 Wow, you can actually graduate with General Studies as a major? It's a pity your university didn't just help you design a major, and give it a decent name. But anyway, no, it shouldn't matter. Certainly not as much as your grades, and which courses you took. A Gen Studies major with a 3.5 or better, who took all the pre-req courses and did well in them, would look better to me than a Biology major with a 3.5 who dropped a ton of courses and/or had to retake courses on the pre-req list. Source: graduated from RFUMS 7 years ago, helped with admissions interviews in my second year. And my undergrad is in Theatre. On the bio page for my practice group, I just leave it "Bachelor of Arts," School, Year, and don't elaborate.
