Axas Posted July 30, 2016 Hey everyone! I hope the applications are going well for you. I am a student at UD this year. So if you have any questions about the program or what to expect feel free to ask me here. This was our first week of classes, I imagine the faculty have been really busy with all of us here.
IowaPA17 Posted August 3, 2016 Hey everyone! I hope the applications are going well for you. I am a student at UD this year. So if you have any questions about the program or what to expect feel free to ask me here. This was our first week of classes, I imagine the faculty have been really busy with all of us here. How have the first week of classes been? Also I was wondering about the structure of the anatomy course. I forgot to ask in my interview if there is a cadaver lab and if so how it is set up? Thank you and congratulations on beginning your PA journey!
iowapac Posted August 3, 2016 Has anyone else heard back? I still have not. I interviewed on July 14th.
Axas Posted August 6, 2016 How have the first week of classes been? Also I was wondering about the structure of the anatomy course. I forgot to ask in my interview if there is a cadaver lab and if so how it is set up? Thank you and congratulations on beginning your PA journey! Really good so far! We are starting off fast but it's been manageable. And the faculty has been really great. There is a cadaver lab. There are four bodies and we are split up so that 1/2 the class goes to lab to dissect one day and the other half goes in the next. It works out so that there are generally three people working on a cadaver at a time. Other than that we have anatomy lecture twice a week!
excitedpa Posted August 23, 2016 Hello everyone! I interviewed recently and am trying to remember everybody that interviewed me. Was Warren Gall one? Just making sure!!
Axas Posted August 23, 2016 He usually is here to interview, but he has been out of town on vacation for a few weeks!
Breanna2013 Posted September 1, 2016 I interviewed August 25. For those of you who have been accepted how long did it take to here back? Thank you! Warren Gall was in my interview that day.
Breanna2013 Posted September 8, 2016 Perfect it's been 2 weeks today for me!! Can't wait to hear back!
ppl3 Posted September 8, 2016 Hello everyone, I was reading forums from last year about this program and was wondering if any of you knew more about a pre-interview test?
IowaPA17 Posted September 9, 2016 I saw that from last year too! But I have not heard anything about any test this year. I wonder if they just wanted to do it for their inaugural class?
Axas Posted September 9, 2016 They dropped the pre-entrance exam after last year. They found that it correlated well with the GRE scores, so it wasn't terribly helpful in differentiating applicants.
ppl3 Posted September 19, 2016 For anyone who has already had an interview, how did it go? What was the format of the day? I just found out I have an interview Oct. 6!
Breanna2013 Posted September 28, 2016 For anyone who has already had an interview, how did it go? What was the format of the day? I just found out I have an interview Oct. 6! I had mine August 25th. How mine worked was the interviewers asked typical questions for an interview and that was about it. The interview does not take very long, they are mostly trying to get to know you and how you would fit at the program. I had my tour of the school directly following the interview. I would not worry though, they were all very nice and comforting. They make it more of a conversation than an interview itself. Good luck on Oct. 6!
Breanna2013 Posted October 12, 2016 Received a phone call today saying I got in! They said they filled 7 more of the spots so 18 total filled. Good luck everyone!!
IAPA16 Posted October 13, 2016 Got a call on Tuesday that I have been accepted! Good luck to everyone! If I hear back from Iowa in the meantime I will most likely choose them if given the chance but very excited for either school!
