A few programs that I am applying to are asking for a CV/Resume under the Documents portion of the CASPA application. Because I have not done any publications, my submission will most likely be most appropriately formatted as a resume. Does anyone happen to know the purpose of doing this if most of the information is on CASPA? Most of the descriptions that I am filling out in my resume are very similar to the ones I submitted in CASPA. Furthermore, is there a typical limit in length? I have everything fit in 2 pages. I currently have the following headings in the following order:

-Name and Contact info (top middle)

-Education

-Healthcare Experience

-Shadowing Experience (how much in detail should we write this out? I have the PAs' names, the specialty, and number of hours shadowed with each)

-Community Involvment
-Research Experience
-Leadership

-Awards/Accomplishments
-Membership Affiliations

-Skills and Certifications

I've had to condense a lot of the descriptions for each in order to fit all of these categories in 2 pages. I figured that they already have all the information in the CASPA application itself.

Sounds like you are on the right track. resumes are typically 1 page long. CVs are a while other beast. I imagine the resume might be passed out to faculty who will interview you. If that's the case it is just a summery that they can use to ask questions.

Would it be okay for it to be 2 pages long? I understand that resumes are typically 1 page long, but with PA schools looking at so many things in an applicant, I'm having to fit everything I listed in the categories above in 2 pages.

Last year when I applied I did a CV summary- which was one page. No one seem to have an issue either so I would suggest doing some thing like that. PM me if you have any questions !

As the previous person mentioned it's just a quick summary. You can elaborate in your CASPA app-as you have stated.

Hey everyone, there are still tickets available for those who are interested in the Loma Linda PA program. We have changed our event from zoom to being ON CAMPUS. There will be prizes raffled off. Due to some restrictions still being in place, the tickets that are being sold will only allow one person per ticket. More info on the flyer and event bright website. Thank you so much! Hope to see you there. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/llus-3rd-annual-pre-pa-conference-tickets-145958073527

Hey y'all so I am a sophomore in undergrad and in the process of just starting to get PCE, shadow, and volunteer hours and etc, but I am super stressed out because I am itching to start getting PCE hours except its so difficult while in school. I was thinking about becoming an EMT and working for 2 years after I graduate but I wasn't sure if being an EMT is considered PCE among most colleges, does anyone know? (I also tried to work as a caregiver over summer and that job isn't for me)

Also, I'm trying to compile a list of PA schools to apply to, so if anyone has any recommendations for schools on the east coast please let me know! 🙂

Hi everyone! I’m looking to take on some more pre-PA students who need help with CASPA review, personal statement brainstorming/editing and interview prep.
I’m 4.5 years out of PA school with experience in NYC and Baltimore and am a former interview committee member!
Please send an email to applyingtopaschools@gmail.com for more info and pricing!

Hi there, my name is Vanessa and I just graduated with my bachelor's in February. I am looking to pursue into a PA program but not quite sure where to start. I am currently studying for the GRE and have about 250 internship hours done at an ENT clinic with an audiologist. I'm not sure in what I am doing and need any guidance or suggestion in what to do.
