cclemens25
did anyone submit around 8/20? Hoping if they do in fact do rolling admissions that I wasn't too late, NAU is my first choice!
SueBee89
I submitted 5/16 because I wanted to wait until my classes were finished. I received an e-mail for an invite.

I submitted 8/16. No news yet, as I am sure they review applications in the order they are received, like most schools. This does not mean they are a rolling admissions, but it is always best to apply earlier. I called admissions today and they said they have just started reviewing applications. And what I said above is my assumption, not their policy. Good luck to you, and everyone else too!

RighteousTurtle
Hey everyone! I've been crazy busy but I was accepted today! The interview Yesterday was great, the faculty are awesome people. The interviews are very laid back and easy to get through! I would say know why you want to be a PA and why you chose their program. Smile and give sincere answers!! I've heard they change questions each interview so I would study common questions on Google. Good luck everyone!! :)

jmtam
Hi all! I'm new to applying. This is my first cycle. I wanted to bring forward my stats and would like to hear some feedback as far as where I would stand. Graduation Date: April 2014 University: Oakland University (Rochester, MI) Major: Bachelors of Health Sciences with concentration in Integrative Holistic Medicine Pre-Req GPA: 3.78 Inorganic Chemistry- 4.0 Organic Chemistry- 4.0 Advanced Human Anatomy- 3.7 Advanced Human Physiology- 4.0 Statistics- 3.0 Clinical Microbiology- 3.9 Clinical Microbiology Lab- 4.0 Genetics- 3.6 Upper Science 1- 4.0 Upper Science 2- 3.6 Overal CASPA GPA: 3.12 Patient Contact Hours: 3,900 (paid, Certified Nursing Assistant) Healthcare Experience: Dental Office Manager, Care Management Administration Shadowing Hours: ~70 (Trauma, Surgical Service, Rapid Response, and Neurology) Letters of Reccomendation: 1 from Neurology PA (I work with her on my hospital unit), 1 from a Derm/GI PA (I volunteered at her clinic in Chicago), 1 from my unit manager, and 1 from a professor (professor for my biochem/pathology courses, conducts breast cancer research at OU). Extra Curricular: Pre-PA Society, Vice President (Oakland University) Keep Detroit Beautiful, Brand Ambassador (Detroit, MI) Gamma Phi Beta Sorority, Executive Board Member, Volunteer Coordinator Gamma Phi Beta, Recruitment/ Chapter Advisor (Beta Chapter- University of Michigan) GRE: I had a low GRE the first time I took it.... but I am retaking it in the next few months. I submitted my first poor score. That probably killed my chances. I submitted 07/30, verified 08.04, sup app was sent 07/17. Any recommendations for me? I am currently taking a few courses just to keep up with my studies. I currently work at the hospital, volunteer, and am prepping for a mission trip in December. I haven't heard anything at all... Should I give up hope at this point? Please feel free to give me any tough love!

Should I give up hope at this point? Please feel free to give me any tough love! Don't give up hope!! You look like a very well rounded candidate. I had a low GRE 40%-50% and a few C's in OC, Gen Chem and Stats. I also had 1300 clinical hours. They seem to really care about the the individual and their experiences; rather than numbers. From what I heard at my interview they had 2 dates in September so there's still October, November and possibly December that they have to invite for. I did apply in May, and submitted my supplemental early June. But in the early interview we did have a guy that submitted in August! And they're interviewing about 125 so there's still time. Good luck!!
