CASPA Verification Times

Recommended Posts

there's no point in paying for that service.

And the manner in which CASPA deals with these problems is not helpful. The course subject errors are virtually permanent, but course description notes can be added to each item identified. So each school can look at these comments, but it does not change the actual course subject or the GPA category that I care about the most. For example, I took a Psychology Integration course (psychology and philosophy integration) that should have been categorized as a biological psychology course, but was listed as "Special Topics". So because I paid for a professional to do this for me, I have lost 4 "A" graduate psychology (behavioral science) units. Pretty disappointed in this turn of events.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Behavior sciences are not part of your science GPA so I don't see it as a big deal. Also a lot of schools do not consider graduate courses when looking at your GPA. Sorry you had a bad experience.

Hello!

I had my application done by 5/04/2016....

took forever to get my last transcript submitted, because the school i went to closed.

However, my application now says "verifying"... it went from being complete to verifying the same day...

now waiting to be 100% verified.

Good luck to everyone applying this cycle.

I just submitted my application tonight (7/7) along with my payment.  All of my transcripts and LOR's were received a while ago.  So my application should be complete right?  How do we know when it goes from submitted to complete?

Go to the check status tab, click on the blue arrow next to one of the schools you paid for and look at the pdf. On one of the last few pages, you will see the complete date.

  • 2 weeks later...

Completed 7/15. I have a couple questions...

  1. Do you receive an email when applications are verified?
  2. When you submit an application for an additional school after the first one was verified, will it automatically be verified as well?

1. yes, CASPA will email you when your app is verified

2. yes, within that same day

I wonder why you were verified before me when I submitted a day earlier, aspiringpa2016... Everything of mine has been complete since I submitted. Should I call?

Could be anything.  I'd give it until tomorrow before I call.  They likely have multiple groups of people working on this.  I am also only applying to one program, so that may make a difference as well.

      Hi everyone,
I'm currently a sophomore in my undergrad and I plan on applying for the 2022-2023 cycle, at the end of my junior year. I'm working on my application slowly throughout the year so I'm ready to submit early in the cycle (mid-May) and get a head start for programs with rolling admissions.
However, my university won't release my second semester junior year official transcript until mid-June. That means if I submit my application mid-May, I'd only be submitting my official grades up until my first semester of junior year of college. Should I wait for my official transcript to be ready and submit mid-June, or should I go ahead and submit mid-May and update CASPA once my second semester grades are ready?
I'm so torn on what to do. I'm afraid if I only have 5 semesters worth of grades on my transcript, I will be seen as a weak applicant. On the other hand, I'm afraid if i don't submit early I'll potentially lose some interviews. I know once I submit my official transcript, the grades I update won't count towards my GPA, but I'm not worried about that because I'll most likely have around a 3.75 gpa regardless.
      Any advice is appreciated!

Hi everyone! I’m looking to take on some more pre-PA students who need help with CASPA review, personal statement brainstorming/editing and interview prep.
I’m 4.5 years out of PA school with experience in NYC and Baltimore and am a former interview committee member!
Please send an email to applyingtopaschools@gmail.com for more info and pricing!

Hello! I thought I would get the forum for the SIU application started!
Has anyone had trouble filling out the supplemental application? There is no option to choose "Summer 2022".

      Hello everyone!
Thought I would get this page started so we can help each other out through this process. Good luck!

Hi everyone! This is my first post so be forgiving if I don't have proper forum etiquette lol. So I am extremely nervous to apply this cycle, 2021-2022, because I feel as though my application is not going to be that strong. Here's what I have (keep in mind that I am a junior in college, so I have some more classes to take):
      cGPA: 3.27
sGPA: right now I have a 3.1, but after this semester I am thinking that it will be around a 3.3
HCEs: over 2,000 as a CNA
I haven't asked for LORs yet, but I am sure that those I ask will highly recommend me (crossing my fingers!).
I don't have as many volunteer hours as I would like, around 50, but I am currently working on them.
I am also involved on campus as an Orientation Leader, I am the President of Nature Club, the treasurer of a History club, and I am also apart of many other clubs, I am just not holding any positions in them. I don't know if this is relevant or not but I also take juijistu classes off campus.
I did have some mishaps happen throughout college, I earned a C- in human A&P, and I had to retake biochemistry. I'm not sure if I should retake human A&P to raise my grade and GPA or let it go. I am going to apply this cycle to programs that do not have a minimum letter grade, but I am honestly so worried that these schools won't even look at my application because of my GPA and my A&P grade.
Any and all recommendations are welcome, thank you!
